Local libraries have caught up with the times and now offer Mobile Apps, Self Check-out, and Curbside Holds and Pick-ups. Even a take-home Covid test is offered at Greene County libraries!
All these services make it easy to embrace what the library has to offer at no charge to you. That's right FREE!
They even have dates that your late fees will be reduced by half!! I could have really used this idea! I really supported our public library when the kids were young!
Local libraries provide "launch pad check outs" also, which if you don't know (I didn't!) is a tablet for kids that has lots of apps pre-loaded with educational games and activities to keep them busy! What a great idea! Good for summer to keep their minds active.
Not to mention the libraries offer lots of online classes and activities that sound like so much fun! Many libraries offer great business-related classes. For instance, the Washington-Centerville Library provides these online classes to attend on building your own business, Gale Business Plan Builder.
Obviously, libraries have kept up with the times and are a great resource I think we sometimes forget to ... "Check Out!"
At the bottom of most of our local library websites, you can find information about events going on in your area. This is a really nice feature to stay in touch with your community and its activities!
