Comedy Legend to Open Comedy Club & Restaurant in Yellow Springs, OH and the Town is Thrilled!

News has started to spread throughout Yellow Springs and the Dayton, Ohio region that the comedy superstar, Dave Chappelle, will be opening a comedy club and restaurant in the popular Ohio travel destination of Yellow Springs!  It appears the community couldn't be more excited about this development involving a local celebrity with a worldwide fan base.

The restaurant and comedy club will be located in the City of Yellow Springs business district at 225 Corry Street, which is accessible to the popular bike path, the Little Miami Scenic Trail, which runs through the town.  On the other side of the bike path is the Glen Helen Nature Preserve, home to the "yellow spring" that gave the city its name.

This is great news for not only those living in Yellow Springs but also for tourists looking for an evening of laughter and good food.  Yellow Springs has been attracting more people over the last few years due to its unique charm and sense of community, which attracted Dave Chappelle himself to purchase a home here in 2006.  Friends of Chappelle who have visited with the Chappelles and have been present in downtown Yellow Springs include actor Brad Cooper, magician David Blaine, CBS news personality Gayle King, comedian David Letterman, and dozens of others.  

During a Zoom call with the Yellow Springs Planning Commission, Chappelle said he expects the new comedy club, called "Live from YS," to attract entertainers from across America and around the world. 

The new venue is sure to be a hit with local residents and visitors!  The intimate venue will have a seating capacity of about 140 people.  The building will have a performance space, a full bar, and a restaurant called "Firehouse Eatery."

Yellow Springs has attracted tourists for years to its quaint downtown district full of restaurants, gift shops, and artists' galleries!  We are seeing a good number of people interested in moving to Yellow Springs.  Home sales in Yellow Springs continue to thrive, with home buyers interested in purchasing property here.  We have clients looking for a home in the area right now.
