Among the 68 Air Force bases across the country, our own Wright Patterson AFB was recognized at the best in the nation recently! It was really a tie for the title of "The Best Air Force Base in the Nation" with Scott Air Force Base in Illinois. Congrats to the Greater Dayton area and all the men and women of our air force who work so hard for our country and community!
The recognition from the Military Times Group and Gannett Governmnet Media took into consideration many factors when determining the winner. Those contributing factors are local school quality, housing costs, local economy, crime rates, local traffic, climate, on-base services, and several other factors.
