This spectacular display of fireworks is not the only attraction that the city has to offer on this day. Concurrent with the pyrotechnics, the city's cobblestones will come alive during the much-awaited Red, White & Blue Block Party in downtown Xenia. From 3 pm to 8 pm, the city center will bustle with energy as live music fills the air, a cornucopia of more than a dozen food trucks serving up an array of delicious dishes, and sand sculptures make the cityscape even more fascinating.

This year's block party extravaganza will also host a thrilling cornhole tournament presented by the Ohio Riders, a professional cornhole team. Furthermore, a toy show, a cruise-in, and an assortment of child-friendly activities including face painting and games will keep children of all ages entertained throughout the day.

As darkness descends, a breathtaking spectacle of fireworks, orchestrated by American Fireworks and presented by the Xenia Rotary Club, will paint the sky with bright colors starting at 10 p.m. This nearly 30-minute display of pyrotechnic artistry will be preceded by activities such as live music from the Richard Lynch Band, bouncy houses, and more food trucks at Shawnee Park.

Kids are particularly encouraged to participate in the annual bicycle parade themed "Rock N' Rollin". Here, they will decorate their bicycles in the spirit of their parents' favorite bands or musical icons, and ride from the Greene County Courthouse to the Shawnee Pavilion. The best-decorated bikes will be awarded prizes, adding an extra dose of excitement to the occasion.

In its 9th year, the city of Xenia proudly continues this cherished tradition. City Manager Brent Merriman describes the festival as a crowd magnet, attracting thousands to appreciate top-notch entertainment, food, and one of the region's most impressive fireworks displays. He also hinted at a special surprise planned for this year's finale, building anticipation for what's sure to be a night to remember.

The fireworks show is a meaningful tribute to Xenia Rotarian Kevin Sonnycalb. His enduring legacy of 'Service above Self' continues to inspire the Xenia community and is celebrated annually through this spectacular festival. After Kevin's passing, the Sonnycalb family partnered with Xenia Rotary to revive this beloved tradition in 2015. The fireworks show is a symbol of the Rotary's century-long mission to uplift the community and embodies the spirit of their work.

Regardless of the weather, the fireworks show will proceed as planned. However, in the event of severe weather posing potential danger to attendees, fireworks may be delayed or postponed.
