Experiencing a Meaningful Connection With Horses
Horses have a remarkable ability to respond to people in an honest and nonjudgmental way. Spending time with them can provide a calming break from daily pressures while creating opportunities to develop trust, communication and confidence.
During the program, veterans will interact directly with the horses through guided activities. Because the program welcomes beginners, participants do not need riding skills or previous experience caring for horses.
Spring Valley and Greene County’s Equestrian Community
Spring Valley is surrounded by the rolling countryside and open spaces that make Greene County one of the Miami Valley’s most appealing areas for horse enthusiasts. The village is conveniently located near Xenia, Bellbrook, Sugarcreek Township, Waynesville and communities throughout the Greater Dayton area.
The surrounding countryside includes working farms, riding facilities and a variety of Dayton area horse properties. Buyers interested in an equestrian lifestyle can find everything from homes with acreage in Greene County to established Dayton-area horse properties with barns, fenced pastures, riding arenas and additional outbuildings.
Spring Valley’s location also makes it attractive to military families searching for equestrian properties near Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. Residents can enjoy a peaceful rural lifestyle while remaining within reach of WPAFB, Beavercreek, Xenia and the Dayton metropolitan area.
Supporting Veterans in the Dayton Area
The Miami Valley is home to a strong military community that includes active-duty service members, veterans, civilian employees and military families associated with Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. Programs like this create valuable opportunities for veterans to connect with others while discovering a meaningful activity close to home.

As local Realtors and longtime horse owners ourselves, Cyndi and I appreciate the unique connection people can develop with horses. We also understand the importance of community programs that make equestrian experiences accessible to veterans and others throughout the Dayton region.
