Chilli’s Wings & Fish Is a Great New Restaurant in Kettering, Ohio

I always enjoy finding a good local restaurant, especially when it offers something a little different and does it well. On my first two visits to Chilli’s Wings & Fish near the Wilmington Pike and Dorothy Lane intersection in Kettering, I came away impressed and looking forward to going back again.

What first got my attention was the fish. I’m a fan of fish, and this place gives you plenty of variety to choose from. They offer tilapia, perch, catfish, whiting, cod, orange roughy, and salmon, which is not something you see at every casual restaurant. So far, I have only tried the fish selections, but I can honestly say the fish tasted fresh and was full of flavor both times I visited. That is what will keep me coming back.

I also had the fried shrimp, and it was really great too. If you enjoy seafood and like having more than just one or two basic choices, this is a place worth trying. The menu is built for people who want options, and it feels like the kind of spot where you can go back several times and still have something new to order.

One thing I absolutely have to mention is the hushpuppies. I love hushpuppies, and these did not disappoint. Sometimes it is the side items that tell you whether a place really gets comfort food right, and for me, the hushpuppies were a big part of what made these meals so enjoyable.

Even though the fish has been the highlight for me so far, the menu has a lot more to offer than seafood alone. If fish is not your thing, there are plenty of other choices, including wings, chicken tenders, chicken dinners, sandwiches, and more. That makes it a good option if you are going with family or friends and everyone wants something a little different.

Another great feature is their lunch special. Monday through Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., they offer lunch deals for $8.99, which include a side and a drink. That is a very solid value, especially when you are getting a fresh, satisfying meal. For anyone working nearby or just out running errands in Kettering, that makes it an easy lunch stop.

After my first two visits, I can say Chilli’s Wings & Fish is a welcome new addition to the Kettering area. I’ve really enjoyed the fresh fish, the fried shrimp, and those hushpuppies, and I appreciate that the menu offers enough variety to appeal to a wide range of tastes. It is always nice to see a new local establishment open its doors and give people something new to enjoy.
