MONEY MAGAZINE HAS SELECTED BEAVERCREEK AS ONE OF THE TOP 100 BEST PLACES TO LIVE IN AMERICA! The August 2007 issue has rated the city of Beavercreek #84 of the top 100! Beavercreek is an area rich with history. The Miami and Shawnee Indians prized this area along the Little and Big Beaver Creeks as prime hunting ground. Settlers in the late 1700’s found the abundant game, fertile land, and waterways ideal for establishing homesteads. The township was established in the early 1800’s and remained largely a rural community until more development began in the 1950’s as people began to choose to leave city life for the suburban lifestyle. In 1979, a part of the township was incorporated and Beavercreek became a city in February of 1980. It is the close proximity to the amenities of city life, yet the small town feel of Beavercreek that has attributed to its continued growth as a community with Greene County. Close to downtown Dayton, Wright Patterson Air Force Base, and local universities, Beavercreek is conveniently located in the western part of Greene County and is the largest city within the county. Situated at the intersection of major highways I-675 and US Route 35, it is an easy and short commute to any part of the city of Dayton.
The rolling, wooded terrain provides an attractive backdrop for the many residential neighborhoods in our community. Beavercreek is considered one of the most desirable and fastest growing suburbs with homes for all tastes and budgets. From charming, older neighborhoods to custom built homes, from mini-farms for horses to golf course communities, from starter homes to condos, Beavercreek has it all! | | | Beavercreek offers many features to local businesses and residents. |
