As a lifelong resident of the Beavercreek, Ohio, Cyndi knows her town and is proud to introduce clients to all the area has to offer! It's the satisfaction of helping her neighbors and friends in a career she loves that pushes Cyndi to exceed expectations and deliver nothing but the best to you. 

After graduating from Beavercreek High School, Cyndi attended Ohio State University & Wright State University. She completed her undergraduate work, receiving a BS of Medical Technology.

During her twenty year medical career as a laboratory professional, Cyndi specialized in the areas of microbiology and virology at several hospitals in the Miami Valley, Columbus, Ohio and Kansas City.

“After a rewarding career in the laboratory field I realized that I really missed working directly with people,” Cyndi stated. “When I decided to pursue real estate as a profession, I knew that I made the right decision. I love working with people to help them to pursue and realize their dreams. When I help someone through a difficult situation or see them step into the home of their dreams, I feel so blessed that I had the opportunity to facilitate this.”

After seeing so many people struggle under the threat of Dayton home foreclosure, Cyndi acquired the Certified Distressed Property Expert (CDPE) real estate designation.  Cyndi has been specially trained to help homeowners avoid home foreclosure through a variety of means, including "short sales."

In 2006, Cyndi was awarded the designation of Accredited Staging Professional (ASP) REALTOR. She successfully completed a detailed course and examination on preparing homes for sale. Homes that are staged, or prepared for sale by an ASP REALTOR look better than other homes on the market and are ready to show the home’s strengths to prospective buyers. The ASP designation is a benchmark of true excellence in customer service for home sellers and Cyndi is excited to offer this service to our clients.

Raised in Dayton, Ohio by caring, hard working parents, Don learned from them many of the skills that have brought him success and satisfaction during his career of service in the Miami Valley. Don’s father was a Dayton small business owner in the city and a professional archer for all of Don’s childhood. 

“When I was a child my father taught me how to shoot archery. The keys to successfully hitting the target were a steady hand, proper stance, and careful aim by sighting down the shaft of the arrow to the bullseye,” Don recalls. “He taught me well...I won the first meet I entered. As a Dayton OH real estate agent, I will have a steady hand, working hard to market your home for all that its worth. I will have a proper stance, demonstrating integrity in all that I do. I will take careful aim, keeping your real estate goals and your best interest in sight. I will stay focused until we hit the bullseye, getting your home sold! ”

After Don completed his undergraduate work in Missouri, he moved back to the Dayton area and became a staff member at a large local church, serving in a variety of ministry capacities. During his twelve year tenure there, he made the acquaintance of thousands of wonderful Miami Valley residents. 

In 2001, Don started a new church to reach people that were hurting and looking for authentic warmth and spiritual significance. With this vision, GracePoint Church was born. Under Don’s leadership, GracePoint has grown to become a healthy and dynamic church.

Don’s leadership skills are evident in real estate as well. In 2008 Don received the RE/MAX 100 Percent Club Award. In 2006, Don received the National Rising Star Award during Real Living’s annual meeting in Orlando, Florida. He was one of ten agents among Real Living’s 4000 agents to be recognized for his excellence in client service and business growth. Don also received the company’s Bronze Sales Award and Brass Sales Award for his sales production. In January 2007, Don was the recipient of the Dayton Area Board of Realtors Sales Leaders Club's Award of Achievement.

To utilize technology to provide consumers with state-of-the-art services, Don earned the National Association of REALTORS e-PRO designation. This elite group of e-PRO certified real estate professionals represents only one percent of all REALTORS in the country and are trained to provide high quality and innovative online based real estate services.

In his free time, Don enjoys playing tennis, traveling, shooting archery, and working with his backyard pond and koi, and spending time with family. Don and Cyndi were married in 1993 and have two boys, Daniel and Benjamin. 

The Shurts’ family currently lives in Beavercreek with their collie, Sydney, and their Himalayan cat, Belle.
